Special Message from Annie

By Thunder EquiGames

Special Message from Annie:

Last year I stood on the announcers stand at the Thunder EquiGames in Las Vegas. I was simply amazed as recreational Team Ropers, roped for millions of dollars, Barrel Racer and Bullfighters competed for tens of thousands of Dollars. A packed house of fans cheering as Hall of Fame Rodeo announcer Bob Tallman announced each group of winners. All total, Thunder EquiGames paid out 3 Million Dollars in just a few hours.

With over 50,000 Wrangler National Finals rodeo fans in town already, EquiGames was show cased to thousands. They did in 2008 what many of us have been trying for years to do, present Mounted Shooting to the cowboy world thru a large spectator audience. What a grander stage to play on, than rodeo week in Vegas!

If you were there then you felt another major breakthrough for Mounted Shooting. It left me craving more and total curious how we could be a part of the future growth of the Thunder EquiGames and promote our sport as well. So I posed a question to the event organizers – How do we bring Mounted Shooting to those big payoffs, and do it quickly in just a few years? Their answers were surprisingly simple, Money, Contestants and Commitment.

The more I thought about it, the more it excited me. I approached the CMSA and asked for their blessing and sponsorship support should I decide to make this personal commitment. I am happy to report that the CMSA also recognizes the need for this event to stand alone and receive special attention.

With that said I jumped in with both feet, and hopefully I can persuade you join me in Las Vegas this December for this all inclusive shooting event. Hopefully this is that start of something really special for all levels of Mounted Shooters and an exciting time for all during rodeo week .

Thanks

Annie
