Forget what you think about the Odds in Las Vegas, the competition odds and the payback odds will never be more in your favor!

Yes this is a big entry fee, half as much as last year, but still $1,000 per contestant. So what do you get for your $1,000?

Which leads to the big question, Can You Make Three Cuts of the Elimination in your division? You must believe it or you wouldn’t enter week after week against hundreds. So by making three elimination rounds, that is all it takes for you to be the winner of the first ever World Series Mounted Shoot-Out .

Here’s how it works!
Each division is limited to 16 contestants (Mens and Ladies divisions at Limited, Pro-limited, and Pro. One division would look like this---16 contestants eliminate to 8 with the fastest 8 advancing. On the next round 8 contestants eliminate to 4 with the fastest 4 advancing. Finally 4 contestants eliminate to 2 advancing to Wahl Shoot Out.

These three elimination rounds will result in two contestants left standing. Both of these contestants are guaranteed great checks! ( two average checks for a 1 for 8 payback). The Final two simply have to determine which will receive the biggest check and that will require a Shoot-Out in front of the Thunder EquiGames crowd.

So what about those Shooters that didn’t make it?

We have several other ways for them to make money, namely three fast time overall checks in each division, fast overall Senior check in each division, and two nice Bonus Team checks. Lets do the math---- including the two shoot-out checks in each division—96 total contestants, 39 total checks, $20,000 added equates to 115 percent of your entry fees paid back. We just can’t give you back more than that unless your pointing the pistol at us!

About the Fast time overall checks!
For starters the two shooters advancing to the Thunder EquiGames Shoot-Out are not eligible for these checks. We guarantee everyone a minimum of two full runs at the fast time overall money. So if you were unlucky enough to get eliminated in your first round, don’t worry, right then and there we give you another run at the course to see if you can win one of the fast time checks. No matter which round you get eliminated from, all of your times count toward those three fast overall checks in your division!

That's not all. Shouldn't the fastest run of the entire competition get a check? We think so and in fact have put up $1,000 for the fastest run of the entire shoot ( prior to Thunder EquiGames Shoot Out). This fastest run has no limitations of division or gender.

What about the Team Bonus?
This is an added feature this year. When you enter the Divisional Shoot-Outs you are automatically entered in the Team Bonus two times. The computer will draw each contestant two partners whose combined handicaps do not exceed 9. There will be no gender divisions in the draw. The draw will occur during the cocktail party on Wednesday night December 2nd.

Winners will be determined by combining the fastest time from each partner in the team. There will be a time handicap as follows : #9 team straight time, #8 team 1 seconds off, #7 team 2 seconds off, #6 and below – 3 seconds off. The exact payoff will be announced one month prior to the event.


Books open online July 15th and close when the last slot is filled or October 1st whichever comes first. We reserve the right to accept alternate entries, in case of draw outs.

(“ALAMO”) OWNS AND OPERATES THE “WORLD SERIES OF TEAM ROPING CHAMPIONSHIP” AND “THUNDER EQUIGAMES” EVENTS.  ALAMO RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY APPLICATION FOR ENTRY TO ANY EVENT OF THE THUNDER EQUIGAMES FOR ANY REASON WHATSOVER.  EACH CONTESTANT  INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THUNDER EQUIGAMES EVENTS SHALL ABIDE BY THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE EVENT AND SHALL CONDUCT HIMSELF IN AN ORDERLY AND SPORTSMANLIKE MANNER.  ANY CONTESTANT THAT FAILS TO COMPLY WITH THUNDER EQUIGAMES RULES OR REGULATIONS, OR OTHERWISE FAILS TO CONDUCT HIMSELF/HERSELF IN AN ORDERLY AND SPORTSMANLIKE MANNER, WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE EVENT AND EXPELLED FROM THE EVENT PREMISES.

The following calculations are based on entry numbers as of November 1^st. Please keep in mind that these numbers may move up or down based on additional entries and/or draw outs. In order to improve payouts for the ladies that are entered, we are waiving all late fees for new entrants in the ladies divisions.

We are very excited to present this event for you. Starting entry fees of $875/per, minus commission plus $20,000 added brought the total payoff for this event, at this point, to $84,313. Shooters are receiving a 91% cash payback on their entry investment, not counting the prizes. With prizes the payoff exceeds 100%.

At this point there will be 44 checks paid with 105 entrants. This means that 41% of the contestants will receive a check. These are great odds in any competition. Following is an example of how the event will be paid. We have listed the maximum at 20 Shooters and an example of 14, one of the smallest.
