WPRA notified EquiGames in early September they wanted to begin a long term relationship with The EquiGames Open Barrel Race. We would need to drop the title "Invitational".

Thank you for all of your inquiries concerning my EquiGames Barrel Race in Las Vegas during the NFR. For those of you who attended the first annual last year, I hope you will agree that even though we put it together in just one short month, it met all of our expectations. I can’t express how excited we are to have an entire year to put together a memorable experience with this year’s Invitational Barrel Race held as part of the Thunder EquiGames at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas during NFR week
